In addition to installing pool safety fencing and layers of protection that protect children, pets and guests, Life Saver Pool Fence of Tulsa provides swimming pool danger education to families and creates awareness that there are cost-effective products to keep backyard swimming pools safer.
Keeping little feet on solid ground for over 30 years.
Since 2019, Life Saver Pool Fence of Tulsa has been growing at ground-breaking speed under owner Gary Gilkey who is on a mission to protect every swimming pool. Gary is a former United States Marine who has completed Marine Corps Water Survival Training (MCWST) who has observed first-hand how the lack of effective water survival skills and a pool fence can cause unpredictable fatalities in children under 5.
Gary has grieved alongside a local family and a community devastated by the loss of a child due to drowning. This personal experience reinforced his desire to make not just the pool waters safe but also the environment surrounding a pool for kids and adults alike. Life Saver Pool Fence of Tulsa was established in keeping with this core mission.
A Note From the Owner
“After watching my daughter struggle with swimming after traditional swim lessons failed, we sought rescue swim lessons for her in the form of Infant Swimming Resource (ISR). This event opened our eyes that there are resources out there to help prevent childhood drowning. My wife felt she was being pulled toward becoming an instructor herself. After a few years, we finally decided to make the leap of faith to get her certified. I am very proud of her!
As a newly certified instructor, she became aware of a local family who had lost a child to drowning. Later that year my wife was invited to the Live Like Jake fund raising Gala in Florida. It was there that I decided to become a Life Saver and help educate parents on water safety while putting pool fence protection into place in as many homes as possible.”
